{"id":69,"date":"1998-07-09T21:13:20","date_gmt":"1998-07-10T01:13:20","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.paragonis.com\/Emails\/?p=69"},"modified":"2009-11-20T21:17:32","modified_gmt":"2009-11-21T01:17:32","slug":"vegas-or-bust","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/emails.paragonis.com\/?p=69","title":{"rendered":"Vegas or Bust &#8230;"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Karen, a Midwestern housewife, took her first trip to Las Vegas a few years ago.\u00a0 She had done very well playing the slot machines, winning a bucket full of quarters.\u00a0 Karen needed a break and she left the casino heading toward the elevators, taking her bucket with her.\u00a0 She steps into the elevator and before the doors shut, three beefy and one slender, leather-clad black men stepped in.<\/p>\n<p>Karen (never having spent much time around black people) clutches her bucket close to her chest.\u00a0 One of the men says, &#8220;Hit the floor, lady,&#8221; and she does; quarters fly everywhere.<\/p>\n<p>The men bust up laughing and they help Karen up from the floor and then help her collect her winnings.\u00a0 One of the men explains that he meant for her to select her floor.\u00a0 Mortified, the elevator arrives at her floor and she leaves embarrassed, and the men are still laughing.<\/p>\n<p>Later that evening, a dozen roses are delivered to Karen&#8217;s room.\u00a0 There is a one hundred-dollar bill attached to each rose.
